Cuba lies just 90 miles to the South of Florida and is largest Island in the Caribbean covering 42,804 sq miles. Approximately 25% of the country is mountainous while the rest is relatively flat. The southern coast lies up against the Caribbean Sea. The North coast lies against the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Cuba is lined with many keys and coral reefs along both the North and South coastlines. The climate is considered semitropical with an average annual temperature of 24 degrees Celsius.
