Lake Cuyaguateje
Lake Cuyaguateje is a complex of lakes located about one hour from the capital city of Pinar Del Rio. There are five lakes in the complex, made up of Lake Cuyaguateje, Alacatraz Grande, Alcatraz Chico and several others. Sometimes, the fishermen like to stay on Laguna Grande, a small lake with A frame style rooms located just about 30 minutes from the Cuyaguateje Complex. Big fish have been caught from these lakes including a 24.5 and a 22.5 pounder caught by Renee Sierra and a 24 pounder caught by Pedro Callis.
