Lake Hanabanilla
Lake Hanabanilla is know as one of the most beautiful lakes in the entire world. It is also known as perhaps the best overall big bass lake in the world too. Not too many years ago, a group of 17 American bass fishermen visited Lake Hanabanilla and caught 69 bass over 10 pounds including a bass of 15.2 pounds. Every fisherman in the group has a bass of nine pounds or better.
A bass of 26 pounds, one of 23 pounds, one of 21 pounds and several between 18 and 20 pounds are known to have come from this lake.
The lake is approximately 17 miles long and has at least 3 rivers feeding into it. There are waterfalls and even caves you can enter by boat when the water level is just right.
The mountains around the lake have ranches, farmers, tobacco and even coffee.
The Hanabanilla hotel sits right on the shore of Lake Hanabanilla and has 128 rooms, a very nice restaurant, another nice one on the lake, a pool, several bars, a give shop and even a disco built underneath the swimming pool.
