Lake Redonda
Lake Redonda was once visited by a group of Americans mostly from Minnesota and Kansas. They were able to catch 192 bass over 8 pounds, not to mention about a zillion other bass. Many call this lake the best 4-9 pound bass lake in the world. The lake is made up of the main Lake Redonda and a series of other small lakes joined by canals. It is a shallow mangrove swamp lake. There are also some snook and tarpon in the lake. Fishermen stay at the Moron Hotel shown above. It has 144 rooms including 12 suites. It has a nice restaurant, several bars, a pool, a gift shop, barber and beauty shop, tennis court and a red hot disco. The city of Moron is about 50,000 of the friendliest people in all of Cuba.
